Biography

Hometown: Varanasi, India

PJ earned his B.Sc. in Chemistry from St. Xavier’s College, (Mumbai) in 2015, where he studied Photo-Fenton degradation of methylene blue in presence of resorcinol. He obtained his M.Sc. in Chemistry from Institute of Chemical Technology, Mumbai in 2017. His Masters thesis work was based on ruthenium-proline catalyzed asymmetric transfer hydrogenation (ATH) of amino alkanones. PJ joined the Ph.D. program in Chemistry at the University of Kansas in 2017. As a part of the Elles research group, PJ has been studying two-photon absorption (2PA) of dyes with the aim of developing high rep-rate single-shot broadband 2PA spectrometer for accurate determination of two-photon absorption cross-section.
